IT Support Specialist

Job Description

An IT support engineer addressing various end-users IT requests. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of PCs/Servers/LAN/WAN equipment (Preferred).

Role and Responsibilities

Technical Support

  • Provides end-user IT/helpdesk support. Install tools and applications.
  • Fixing IT equipment including printers, scanners, screens and headsets.
  • Applying systems’ updates, patches and configuration changes.
  • Performs troubleshooting and resolution to address various network related issues on the network.
  • Experience with installing, testing and troubleshooting cabling infrastructure (Passive LAN)
  • Experience installing Switches and Routers.
  • Experience using, installing and troubleshooting SIP extensions, SIP trunks and Softphones clients (Preferred).

Command Center Support (NOC)

  • Provides after hours and weekend on-call support as needed.
  • Follow Systems/Providers/Platforms daily testing protocols.
  • Monitor Capacity utilization for IT resources (HW and bandwidth) (Preferred)
  • Analyze different systems logs and identify potential issues.
  • Monitors the Network Monitoring System and responds to and addresses system generated alerts as needed.
  • Escalate critical cases immediately to the Main site’s Command Center and 2nd and 3rd level support.
  • Escalate and follow up cases with sites’ providers (VoIP, Internet, HW, etc.)

Training & Coaching

  • Give IT awareness sessions, tools/applications usage guidance.

Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

Technical Requirements

  • Demonstrate knowledge in the support of servers, workstations, and related components.
  • Core understanding of networking (IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
  • Experience with Windows and Linux OS.
  • Expert in the following applications: MS-Office, MS-Outlook

Position Summary:

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently discuss clinical information regarding medications from all sources (prescription, over-the-counter, herbal, etc.) in patient-friendly language
  • Good knowledge of Medicare Part D MTM
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport with patients over the phone and to interact in a friendly, professional manner with a wide range of patients, operations staff, and external professionals
  • Student must be entering P4 in the 2017-2018 school year

Preferred Qualifications

  • Spanish speaking a plus
